Hi
Cindy,
12/14/04
Thanks for your note - Andrew and I enjoyed meeting you and Don as well. We
were very impressed with your home. I had expected a cattery to be
outback in a separate shed/building, but it was very clear that you keep
them close by you even from the very day they are born. And it was
very evident that your methods pay off in the disposition of your
cats. All of them were very loving, affectionate, and
playful right away with us, even as complete strangers! (We are
still laughing at Jack-a-roo flying through the air in the basement!) We
were also impressed with how clean your home is, considering that you
reside with 8 cats. I think Andrew is much more at ease now given
that your home didn't smell like a litter box and have hair everywhere
and his allergies didn't bother him (these were some of his biggest
concerns when I started talking about wanting to get some kittens).
Thanks
again for letting us come and visit- we really had a great weekend.
Bethlehem was fun and relaxing and it was a great learning experience
for me to get a sense for how kittens are bred.
Keep
us posted on Yatzee!

Fran has settled in our family just fine.
She is a Zeigler. Plays, sleeps, eats, and loves our dog
Fluff. What a dear soul. We love her.
Kim
All is well. Fran had her rabies vaccine
on July 21. She never had any problems. Her weight is four pounds. My
vet said he would purchase a kitten from you.
I never have seen a kitten like her. She
never missed a beat from day one. She made herself at home with the
dog and family. Thanks to you and Fran a huge hole in my
heart is repaired.
Will keep in touch

Hi Cindy,
6/6/05
Max made the trip in good shape. My older cats have totally ignored him.
I think they are quite unhappy. I do hope I made the right decision. He
is just wonderful. Talks a mile a minute and is so affectionate. The Vet
trip today was uneventful and going to get him altered in 2 wks. Just
hope my other cats come out from their hiding places and become friends
(not enemies). Keep you posted. I know it is early days and have to be
patient. He's an over the cover cat.
Sylvia
Hi
Cindy,
6/8/05
The others have wandered out from hiding but with lots of bushy tails.
No fights, thank goodness. The towel idea will be in effect and after the
end of the week I'll start with the cage thing for an hour or so during
the day. He's into EVERYTHING and so sweet.

Hi Cindy,

Just a note to say things are going along quite well now. Max's presence
has been accepted and much relieved. He is quite the pistol...climbing,
jumping and now biting which I have been discouraging. Little teeth are
sharp but no skin broken. I've been able to get the cat food, both wet
and dry ...what an appetite.

Solo is wonderful.
He is so affectionate and purrs whenever I touch him.
He and Sasha are best friends.
They love to chase each other around and play together.
Solo is getting so big. He’s
going to be a huge boy.

Hi Cindy ...as you can see, I have lost Jax's affection for a
little while. Chester has taken over completely and sleeps and eats
with Jax, and washes him. I'm getting a little bit jealous!
Thank you for Jax. We love him so much. He is a loving,
naughty, funny, cuddly little clown who loves to climb Christmas
trees.

Hi Cindy,
Update on Jake and Elwood.
I had them at the vet last night. The vet was extremely
complimentary of you and your work. Her quote was "it doesn't
get much better than this!" She said that they were
absolutely beautiful and that they would certainly grow up to be BIG boys.
They purred loudly throughout the entire visit and charmed everyone at the
clinic.

Dear Cindy,
Romeo is doing great.
He was at the vet last week for his rabies shot and weighs 5.1 pounds.
Gaining steadily. The girls at the vet are so excited when he comes
in. They fuss over him the whole time.
And yes he is a rascal
and a lover boy all in one. He has figured out that I leave in the morning
so he wants to play. I feel so bad leaving him. And he has figured out
that the front door is the escape route. He also loves the window sills
and he has taken over the porch - no air conditioning out there. He
doesn't mind the heat and the furniture is really comfy. He sits in the
hot sun at the glass door and bakes himself. He is fascinated with
the electric rake on the kitty litter box. When it goes off he runs and
his ears go back while it rakes.
He has a new thing in
the morning where he walks on my face and plops down on my face because he
wants me to wake up and play. And he is persistent. He starts at 630, then
again at 700. The tail in the face at that hour is a bit much. And he
talks and talks all the time. Has a lot to say. He sleeps under the covers
with me all night - until the face walking starts.
He
loves people food and helps himself when we eat. Swordfish, ribs, chicken,
tomato and mozzarella (mostly the juice) and he licks beer off Randy's
lips - a real guy cat! He also learned how to ask for water in the sink in
the morning but hasn't quite figured out how to keep his feet dry
while he drinks. He is starting to climb higher and higher each day. He
likes to run down the hall after me or Randy and climb up our legs. Full
of energy. And he chews on the wooden knob on the piano key cover - that
has to stop. Loves his feathers and climber.

Catherine
and Randy later adopted Penelope, as well as Yatzee (mother of Romeo and
Penelope).

Last night Romeo was
sleeping with Yatzee!!!!! in her room on the lambskin bed. So cute. I
think he was a little embarrassed. Romeo and Penelope are always piled up
together sleeping. Yatzee likes to have her own little spot on the bed.
She likes to do the Queen thing. When the bed is made she sleeps in the
middle between the big pillows and looks like she is holding court.
Penelope is a hoot
sometime - and other times....well you can imagine. And it is only when
there is food involved that she tries our patience. When we are
finished eating I clean-up the kitchen and leave a plate and/or bowl for
her to clean out. Then when she is out of the bedroom she runs to the
kitchen and washes the dishes. Last night I forgot to wipe out the frying
pan...She was standing in the greasy pan licking like a mad squirrel,
covered with grease. She had it on her back, on her nose, on the top of
her head. She was smiling from ear to ear. Randy just shakes his head. Who
needs a dishwasher when we have Penelope.......

Hi
Cindy
Sadie
had a good ride home to NJ. Has successfully settled in having found
the litter box, water and food bowls. She played a little and slept a
little (in both of our laps) and explored a lot before we all went to bed.
Since we got up, we have played and
explored. She is especially interested in a toy mouse
that spins around inside a plastic circle-she is busy with that at the
moment.
I
cannot tell how precious she is-you have done a wonderful job. She is
beautiful with an independent but sweet personality-and we could not be
happier.
We
look forward to keeping you informed about her progress and will be sure
you get pictures too.
It
was a pleasure to meet you and Don and the whole Cindon family yesterday.
It is a day we will never forget. Thank you for our little Sadie-she is a
dream come true.

Cindy,
To say Quincy
is a talker is an understatement. He is forever giving his opinion
on even the most mundane matters.
Quincy
did well at his vet appointment. The vet tech at the office carried
Quincy and Baxter around to show them off to the other staff.
Baxter and
Quincy get along just fine and spend countless hours chasing each other
through cat tunnels and up to the top of the cat condo. After some
playtime they are happy to sleep together on the back of the sofa and
groom each other. I am still surprised at the ease at which Baxter
and Quincy got along. They definitely have different personalities
though. Baxter is quiet and reserved and Quincy
is loud and outgoing. We love them both and they seem to compliment each
others personality.

Hi Cindy,
Things are going well with
the family blending together. Ghirardelli and Dove touched noses
a couple of times Wednesday so there is no more hissing there. The
youngster bounded up onto the table that has Hershey's favorite bed in the
sun and hissed at Hershey; Hershey raised his head and spoke to Ghirardelli who interpreted the message as "my bed, go away."
Having shown the proper deference, Ghirardelli is accepted (ignored) by
Hershey now.
Much to our surprise, Callebaut was the most reluctant. In fact, he
hid under the bed for a day and a half. Wednesday afternoon he came
out and watched from afar as Ghirardelli and I played. Thursday
morning Ghirardelli went under the couch and when Callebaut saw the skirt
moving he had to get
involved. They started racing around the house keeping about a half
a room's length between them.
Ghirardelli spent some time
on Dove's favorite perch on the desk looking out thewindow this morning
and has now discovered that the recliner makes a very good nest for a
little boy. I spent the afternoon in here with him and had a nap;
when I woke up he was curled up on my pillow purring. He is enjoying
the toy maze and he likes to pounce on balls.
Thanks for our newest
treasure.
Peace,
Jane and Tom

Hi Cindy - We love Fiona so much. She is
very funny and playful. She loves all the attention she gets and
certainly makes herself known if she is not getting enough! When she
plays, her claws never come out. She is just so sweet. She is
great with the boys too. She is a little cautious around Aidan but
shows her affection when he is sleeping. I have found her laying on
his back or alongside of him.

Hey Cindy,
Sophie is sleeping with us and
pushing Don off of the bed. How can something so little take up so
much room??? She likes to snuggle and to be VERY close. We are
definitely enjoying her!!! She is exactly what we wanted.
Everyone that has met her has fallen in love with her! So yes...we
love Sophie. I'm so very glad that we found you when we did.
Everyone at the vet wanted to know where we found her, so I've given them
all your name. They complimented you on Sophie's condition and her
records. Thanks again for helping us get Sophie!
